About Hannah

If you are from a restaurant, food business, product manufacturer or PR company and would like to contact Hannah about a review opportunity or product sample, please email lovetodine@hotmail.co.uk

Hannah lives in Penarth, South Wales, just outside Cardiff, and she loves eating and cooking and everything to do with food! Her favourite way to spend her spare time is dining out – either trying new restaurants or returning to her favourites. Her blog, Love to Dine, has been featured in the Western Mail and Wales on Sunday and she has featured as blogger of the month on Foodies 100. Hannah is media trained and is therefore available for TV and radio work.

Love to Dine is a hobby, but is an opportunity for Hannah to combine several of her passions: food and writing. Her reviews focus on restaurants and food producers/businesses in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, but she often ventures further afield, as she enjoys travelling and her friends and family are scattered far and wide!

Hannah is also an experienced and qualified marketer, so enjoys taking more of a commercial look at restaurants and food businesses, as she believes strongly that it is just as important for businesses to have the correct positioning and marketing as it is to have good service and the right menus.

Hannah is 36 and was born just outside London, grew up in Oxfordshire and the New Forest, and lived in Bournemouth until 2011, when she moved to Penarth to live with her partner, having spent weekends there for several years previously. She works full time as Head of Multi-Channel Communications for a fantastic Welsh brand, and has over 15 years’ experience in marketing, PR and communications.

All reviews are independent and all views are Hannah’s own. Unless otherwise stated, she always visits restaurants and food businesses as an anonymous paying guest. Anything that differs from this will be clearly stated in the review.

Hannah is also available for freelance writing and is a contributor on the Guardian’s Comment is Free. She also offers marketing and social media consultancy to food businesses and restaurants. Please contact her by email if you would like a no obligation discussion.

    • Hi Gareth. That sounds like a great plan. I’ll have a look at your website and plan a visit to the market some time in the next couple of weeks, then I’ll be in touch if that’s okay?

    • Hi Mitch

I’m glad you enjoyed the article. It’s great to see Welsh food getting the credit it deserves. I’m slowly working my way around the country since moving here. That certainly looks like an interesting event.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.

      • Hi Hannah

Great to hear back from you. There’s going to be a celebratory meal on Thurs 6th at CAT – an edible art installation! – celebrating welsh food of the land. Flora at touchstone (07904 333015) is going to send you some pics of the harvest and preparations. Do get in touch – this is something not to be missed!

Andrew (not sure why it came through as Mitch)

  3. Hi Hannah,
I came across your site via twitter. I too love food and share the same passion to eat, wine and dine as well as to talk about it. I run my own business but my greatest passion is to share my views on the latest restaurants around as well as those that have been around longer than I have but not got a look in yet.
I am originally from London and so my authentic flavours from different culinary parts of the world are mostly from eating in various restaurants in and around London. Not sure if you cover outside of Cardiff in your reviews but either way, would be great to share new ideas and opinions in taste.

    Chow!
